Does Vendora offer Cash on Delivery?

No. Vendora does not offer Cash on Delivery (COD). Instead, we offer a safer alternative: Vendora Buyer Protection.

We know COD is popular in some countries because you want to inspect items before the seller gets your money. Vendora Buyer Protection does exactly that – but instead of 10 rushed minutes at a courier office, you get 2 full days to inspect at home.

What is Vendora Buyer Protection?

Buyer Protection is a secure payment mechanism designed specifically for peer-to-peer transactions:

  • The buyer pays online, but the money is not immediately released to the seller.
  • Funds are transferred to the seller only after the buyer confirms that the item matches the description.
  • The buyer has 2 days to inspect the item. If there is an issue, the buyer can request a refund. If something goes wrong and sides disagree, you can open a dispute, and Vendora mediates the resolution.
  • This allows buyers to inspect and test items properly, without time pressure.

Why is Buyer Protection better than COD?

With Cash on Delivery, once you hand over the money to the courier and walk away, that transaction is final. If you discover a problem later – even minutes after leaving the courier office – recovering your money is extremely difficult or impossible. The seller already has your cash, and you have very limited recourse.

With Buyer Protection:

  • You inspect item at home
  • Seller is paid only after your approval
  • Vendora can step in if something goes wrong
  • There’s no pressure or rushed decision – you make the final call about accepting the item after proper inspection at home

This makes Buyer Protection significantly more suitable for modern C2C transactions, especially for items that cannot be meaningfully inspected in a courier office.
