Vendora’s aim is to establish a secure community with fair guidelines for both sellers and buyers. Consequently, there might be instances where one of your ads is temporarily paused. Below, you’ll find the reasons for ad suspension and steps you can take in each case to ensure your ad is published.
Beyond quality standards
Your ad may be paused for “Beyond quality standards” if it contains incomplete or misleading information.
What you can do:
Photographs
Begin by showcasing the entire object in the primary photo. Upload multiple clear and attractive pictures that effectively showcase your item, enhancing its desirability.
Title and Description
Be precise—describe exactly what you’re selling. Provide as much information as possible. A comprehensive description is essential for a successful sale.
Multiple objects
Your ad may be paused for “Multiple items” as our Vendora team has decided to phase out ads containing multiple items. This decision was made for several reasons:
Images and Title
The initial image of the item displayed before entering an ad must be complete, depicting precisely what is for sale. This can be challenging when selling multiple items.
Price
Ensuring accurate pricing is vital on our platform. Selling multiple items in one ad complicates the process of determining a clear price.
Ad status
In a transaction for an ad with multiple items, immediate deletion is not possible. After selling one item, you may continue to receive messages of interest.
Advertising
Following these guidelines enables us to promote your ad on social media, increasing the chances of selling your item effortlessly.
What you can do:
To republish your ad, you can follow one of the steps below.
- Separate ads. You can publish your items separately.
- Package. Items sold as a “package”, if they belong to the same category, the price will be the total cost, as long as they have separate pricing.
Inaccurate price
An ad is paused for “Inaccurate price” because the listing has a virtual price or a different value in the price field and description. For potential buyers, it is very important to be able to easily see the price of the item you have put up for sale.
What you can do:
You will need to enter the actual price in the price field or correct the description of the ad.
Frequent post
An ad is paused for “Frequent posting” because it has been noticed that you delete it and post it regularly.
Ads on our platform have a set duration. A few days before an ad expires, you’ll receive a reminder message to renew it if desired. If the deadline passes without renewal, there’s no issue in republishing it later. However, it’s important to note that deleting and republishing an ad before its expiry is not permitted.
We’ve noticed some users regularly deleting and reposting ads to appear on the first page. This practice goes beyond our quality standards and is unfair to other users. Additionally, keep in mind that promoting your ad on social networks takes time. Deleting ads may result in losing the promotional opportunities provided by Vendora.
What you can do:
Due to the above, we would like you to know that this is the last time we accept the publication of this ad without removing it.
The main image contains an advertisement
Your ad might be paused with the reason “The main image contains an ad” because the main image should exclusively showcase the item for sale, without any supplementary information.
To enhance user navigation and search functionality, the main image of your ad must not include any additional elements beyond the subject of the ad, such as:
- Company logo
- Company link
- Contact details
Remember, at Vendora, we provide free advertising for your ads on social media and the internet, and this promotion is based on the main image of your ad. That’s why we request you to display only the object and no additional information in the main image.
What you can do:
The main image of your ad should not contain any of the above.
You can change the order in which the images of your ad appear by long clicking on the photo and dragging it to the corresponding position.
Common image
An ad is paused with the reason “Common image” because it contains one or more images, common to your other ads.
What you can do:
The shared images with your other ads should be removed, otherwise the system will automatically remove your ad as a copy.
Contact details
An ad is paused with the reason “Contact details” because it contains contact details outside of our platform.
In addition, for your safety, we do not allow customers to be redirected to communication platforms other than ours, as through our system we can protect you and maintain the history of a transaction that you may need access to in the future.
What you can do:
The above contact details must be removed in order for your ad to be published.
The item is no longer available
An ad is paused for “The item is no longer available” because several of our users have reported that the item has been sold.
What you can do:
You should select “delete” the ad if the item is no longer available, and in the future remove your ad directly when you complete a sale.
If you are in the process of agreeing, instead of deleting the ad, you can temporarily hide it.
In case the product is still available, please send your ad again for review so that we can publish it.
Wrong category
An ad is paused for “Wrong category” because it was placed in the wrong category.
At Vendora, we use various means of promoting ads. By placing an ad in the wrong category, your ad (i) will not be shown to the appropriate audience through advertising; and ii) will not be displayed in the relevant search results on Vendora.
If you don’t find the right category for your item, you can click “Search category” to see which category similar products are listed in.
What you can do:
You should visit your ad and there accept the new suggested category.
Change transaction type: Negotiation
A coin ad (euro currencies & drachmas) is paused for the reason “Change transaction type: Negotiation” for the following reasons:
In the category “Coins”, until recently we accepted specific ads exclusively with transaction type “Negotiation”. Now, after multiple requests from our users, we accept prices normally. However, in case of reports from our members or our quality control department (regarding the price of the ad), the ad will only be accepted as a “Negotiation” for a smoother operation of our community.
What you can do:
You will have to edit your ad and select ” Negotiation” as the transaction type, without mentioning the price in any other field of the ad.
Transaction outside of a secure Vendora environment
An ad is paused for “Trading outside a secure Vendora environment” because it suggests ways to transact that are unsafe and can lead to fraud.
Our goal is the security of transactions, eliminating any fraud and malicious actions. For this reason, we provide the ” Buy via Vendora” service.
For the safety of buyers, we do not allow our users to be redirected to communication platforms other than our own, as we cannot intervene if needed.
What you can do:
To ensure compliance, kindly edit your listing and remove any reference to non-Vendora transactions. It’s crucial to note that if our users report redirection of non-Vendora transactions from the same vendor, the account may be deleted for security reasons. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Image screenshot or with watermark
Your ad may be paused for “Image screenshot or watermark” if it includes a screenshot or contains a watermark from a competing platform. Kindly edit the image to meet our guidelines.
What you can do:
To publish your listing, please edit it and remove the images that violate our guidelines. We recommend using your own photos that solely depict the item you are selling.
