How you are affected?
DAC 7 mainly affects sellers operating on digital platforms within the European Union. Specifically, if you are a seller and in one fiscal year (i) you have 30 or more sales or (ii ) your total sales exceed €2,000, you will need to enter some additional information on our platform, such as your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and your address.
In summary, here are the facts.
The affected sellers are those who, in one fiscal year, have one of the following:
- 30 sales or more
- total sales exceeding the amount of € 2.000
Sellers are required to provide the following information:
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Exact address (street, number, postal code, city, country)
Important: The €2,000 or 30-sales threshold is for reporting purposes only.
It does not mean you will be taxed.
- Selling personal items or selling at a loss typically isn’t taxable.
- Even if you make some profit, if your yearly profit from online sales is below €10,000, you generally won’t owe taxes.
- Tax obligations depend on your profit, not just your sales volume.
